    Description

    Assist Head Coach in management of the men's gymnastics team. Duties include but are not limited to coaching, recruiting, and travel logistics.

    Essential job functions include:

    • Assist in the direction of workouts. (40%) - Create and execute training plans for 3 events; Improvise in the gym; Advise and manage routine construction.
    • Coach at Competitions (20%) - Set lineups; Equipment setup for home competitions; Travel to all away competitions; Know routines and be prepared for inquiries.
    • Recruit prospective student athletes. (20%) - Assess skill level and competitiveness of high school athletes; Communicate clearly and professionally with prospective athletes; Participate in on campus recruiting trips.
    • Manage travel plans. (10%) - Book and coordinate flights, rental cars, hotels, etc.; Drive rental vehicles when necessary; Help coordinate meals. Assist in administering team events. (5%)
    • Assist and participate in athlete development programs (5%) - Freshmen Check-ins; Captain Meetings.

    • May involve extended periods of time at a computer workstation and participation in meetings conducted virtually or in person.
    • May occasionally require attendance at evening or weekend events, such as student activities, faculty meetings, or institutional programs.
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Experience coaching optional level or higher
    • NCAA experience preferred
