District Job Posting Assistant Coach- Girls BasketballRamapo High SchoolApplication Deadline: October 27, 2026 Reports to: Director of Athletics and Student Activities Description: The Ramapo Indian Hills Regional HS District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coach for Girls Basketball at Ramapo High School for the 2026-2027 season. The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of the basketball program, fostering a positive environment that promotes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship among student-athletes. Responsibilities: Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, drills, and workouts.Provide instruction on basketball techniques, strategies, and rules.Support game-day operations, including warm-ups, and post-game analysis.Mentor student-athletes, promoting academic success and developmentAssist with equipment management and logistics with players and parents.Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful team culture. Qualifications: Previous coaching and/or playing experience in ice basketball at the high school, collegiate, or club level, preferred.Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategies, and safety protocols. Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach, athletic staff, and school administration.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive environment for high school athletes.Availability for practices, games, and team events, including evenings and weekends. Compensation: Salary is in accordance with the current RIHEA Agreement, with a range from $4320 to $5871 commensurate with experience and qualifications.
