Assistant Coach Boys JV Hockey

Choate Rosemary Hall, an independent boarding and day school for students in grades 9 through postgraduate in Wallingford, Connecticut, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Coach, Boys JV Hockey. This is a part-time, non-exempt position working approximately 17 hours per week. Practice sessions are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with variable start times and a duration of 90 minutes. Games are typically on Wednesdays and Saturdays, between 1 pm and 7 pm. The position is on-site and at other schools for away games. The position reports to Tom White, Director of Athletics.

Choate maintains a highly competitive boys' JV hockey team that competes against traditional opponents as part of an education-based athletics program. Candidates are expected to have demonstrated strengths in player development and in building positive team culture. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how inclusive and equitable practices inform their approach to coaching and team building within a program.

The anticipated stipend for this position is $2,000. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's relevant qualifications, experience, skills, and internal equity considerations.
