General Description

The role of the Assistant Clinical Coordinator is to assist in the administration of the educational program in Radiography particularly in the areas of clinical rotations, attendance tracking, and reviewing: surgical case counts, evaluations, and assignments.

Essential Functions:

  •  Supervise faculty & students in clinical applications. 
  • Routinely reviews each student’s clinical performance to assure adequate progress toward attainment of all required clinical competencies.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to school policies and procedures. 
  • Assists in defining criteria, establishing procedures and related materials for clinical competencies. 
  • Accurately record and maintain attendance and grades following CAHE’s policy and within the system(s) of record. 
  • Communicate with the Program Director, providing progress updates on student performance as per the institutions policies and procedures. 
  • Responsible for the supervision and training of clinical instructors and preceptors. 
  • Maintain an updated ABHES Faculty File Data Sheet including additional academic credentials earned and a record of Inservice and professional development completed annually in alignment with Faculty workload policies, faculty provide instruction for courses and complete administrative duties as assigned by the Program Director, Campus Director, or Director of Academic Affairs. Courses may be didactic/lecture, lab, and or clinicals and may be delivered on campus, via blended modality or online. 
  • Assist with the recruitment of students. 
  • Ensure program compliance with regulatory agencies. 
  • Ensures continued program accreditation. 
  • Research and recommend appropriate agencies that would meet the identified educational requirements for clinical experiences for the students. 
  • Responsible for coordinating and scheduling new clinical faculty orientation. 
  • Adheres to and ensures clinical affiliate deadlines are met for required clinical documentation. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education & Skill Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Accredited Radiography Program Certificate required
  • Significant experience in Radiography education.
  • Strong understanding of accreditation standards and processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
