Definition
The City of Missouri City, known as the "Show Me City," is seeking an Assistant City Manager.
This is a full-time, executive-level position responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for assigned municipal functions and advancing effective, efficient, and accountable service delivery. The position provides leadership in policy development and implementation; promotes interdepartmental coordination and organizational performance; builds productive relationships with elected officials, staff, residents, developers, and community partners; and provides strategic support and assistance to the City Manager, City Council, and department directors. The position oversees assigned operational and development functions, which may include public works, engineering, facilities, fleet, community development, economic development, and code enforcement, and serves as Acting City Manager as required.
