About the Role:Reedy Fork Early Learning Academy in Greensboro, NC is looking for a passionate and dedicated Assistant Childcare Director to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners while supporting the daily operations of a thriving early childhood education center. Responsibilities:- Assist the Director in overseeing daily childcare center operations and staff management
- Support curriculum planning and implementation aligned with early childhood education best practices
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for all children
- Help recruit, train, and mentor childcare staff and teaching assistants
- Maintain compliance with NC childcare licensing regulations and NAEYC standards
- Build and maintain positive relationships with families through open communication and engagement
- Step in to lead center operations in the absence of the Director
Requirements:- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a licensed childcare or early learning center
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a childcare setting
- Knowledge of NC childcare licensing requirements and DCDEE regulations
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Warm, patient, and professional demeanor with a passion for child development
