Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace is looking for an experienced Assistant Cheese Manager to join our Cheese Departments' busy operations! Bring your passion for cheese, hands-on experience, and love of customer service to help create an exceptional shopping experience.
Your Role:
- Support a positive customer experience, providing knowledgeable guidance on cheeses, pairings, and seasonal items
- Assist the Cheese Manager with ordering, inventory management, staff schedules, training, and daily operations
- Pack, label, and merchandise cheese and related products according to company policies
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment
- Supervise a team of Cheese Clerks
What We’re Looking For:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Cheese Department, with at least 1 year as an Assistant Cheese Manager
- Strong understanding of cheese varieties, storage, temperatures, inventory, and flavor profiles
- Excellent customer service skills and a high passion for cheese!
- Highly organized and adaptable to changing priorities
- Fluent in English
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
