Assistant Center Director – Math Learning Center (Leadership Role)

Our teaching method, the Mathnasium Method, is the life’s work of Larry Martinek, Mathnasium’s Chief Instructional Officer and a teacher and math teaching consultant in the Los Angeles area for more than 35 years. The Mathnasium Method increases a child's math competency and improves their lives by opening the doors to higher education, greater career opportunities, and a better future.

Schedule:
Minimum: 3 weekdays (Mon–Thu, 2:00–7:30pm), plus Saturdays as needed (9:30am–1:30pm)
Full availability: Mon–Thu 2:00–7:30pm and Saturday 9:30am–1:30pm
Mathnasium of Whitehouse Station is a new center, and we're hiring an Assistant Center Director to help build it from the ground up. You'll run the floor on your shifts, lead our instructors, meet with families, and help enroll new students. This is a leadership role with a clear path to Center Director as we grow.

Who We Are

Mathnasium Learning Centers teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Our curriculum is built on the Mathnasium Method, developed over decades of hands-on instruction and used with students since 2002.

What You'll Do

• Lead the instructional floor during your shifts: assign students, coach instructors, and keep sessions running smoothly
• Train and mentor new instructors in the Mathnasium Method
• Respond quickly to new leads, give center tours, and enroll new families
• Administer student assessments and help build individual learning plans
• Build relationships with parents and keep them updated on their child's progress
• Handle parent phone calls and emails confidently and professionally
• Support day-to-day operations, scheduling, and administrative tasks
• Help grow the center through community events and local outreach

What You Bring

• Passion for math
• Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, or supervising others
• Confidence talking with parents, including enrollment conversations
• Organized, reliable, and comfortable taking ownership when the Center Director isn't there
• Comfortable with computers and learning new software
• Some College preferred, especially in education, math, or a related field

All applicants will take a math assessment, provide work authorization, and pass a background check. The math assessment is used to determine the level of math you could help out with if needed.

Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee center is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their center. We offer personalized instruction, proprietary worksheets, and games to build Number Sense and provide a fun and supportive environment in which children can learn and practice math.
