    Assistant Center Director - Childcare & Preschool
    The Learning Experience - Cascade, MI
    Salary: $48,000-$55,000 per year
    Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

    The Learning Experience - Cascade is looking for an experienced early childhood professional who is ready to grow beyond the classroom and make an impact across an entire school.

    As our Assistant Center Director, you'll work closely with the Center Director to support teachers, families, enrollment, licensing compliance, and daily operations. This is an ideal opportunity for a strong early childhood leader who enjoys coaching others, solving problems, building relationships, and helping a team succeed.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the Center Director with daily center operations
    • Help recruit, interview, onboard, train, and retain high-quality teachers
    • Coach and mentor teachers through classroom observations and ongoing feedback
    • Assist with staff scheduling, classroom coverage, ratios, and daily staffing needs
    • Ensure compliance with Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
    • Support consistent implementation of The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
    • Build strong relationships with children, families, and teaching teams
    • Conduct tours and help prospective families through the enrollment process
    • Support enrollment, retention, and family engagement initiatives
    • Maintain accurate center records and required documentation
    • Assist with center events, community partnerships, and local outreach
    • Help foster a positive culture built around communication, accountability, teamwork, and exceptional care
    Qualifications

    • Previous leadership experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or early childhood education program
    • Professional early childhood education or childcare experience required
    • Knowledge of Michigan childcare licensing requirements
    • Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing teachers
    • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred
    • Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements
