Duties
Responsible
for
the
orderly
functioning
of
a
school
cafeteria
Essential
Performance
Responsibilities
Carries
out
the
Cafeteria's
Manager
instructions
as
to
means
and
methods
to
be
used
in
supporting
the orderly functioning of a school cafeteria
Performs
all
managerial
duties
in
the
absence
of
Cafeteria
Manager;
willing
to
learn
Cafeteria
Manager responsibilities
Assists
in
preparing
orders
for
breakfast
and
lunch
program,
and
catering
events
Assists
in
inspecting
and
reviewing
orders
received;
signs
for
goods
and
services
(i.e.
delivery
slips
and contractor bills).
Maintains
inventories
on
supplies
as
required
by
the
Cafeteria
Manager/
Food
Service
Director
Proficient
use
of
computer
to
access
email,
documentation
records,
and
daily
meal
counts
Ability
to
use
point
of
sale
system
and
carry
out
daily
functions
within
the
program
Knowledge
of
completing
daily
production
records,
and
all
temperature
and
sanitation
logs
Maintains
security
of
inventories
and
cash
Provides
staff
instruction
in
proper
on-the-job
safety,
health,
housekeeping
and
quality
control practices
Assist
the
Cafeteria
Manager
in
overseeing
cafeteria
employees;
provide
training
and
instruction
to staff as needed
Demonstrate
proper
on-the-job
safety,
health,
housekeeping
and
quality
control
practices
Knowledge
of
National
School
Lunch
Program
and
National
School
Breakfast
Program
meal
patterns
Performs
other
customary
and
discretionary
supervisory
duties
as
required
or
assigned
by
the Cafeteria Manager and/or Food Service Director Terms
of
Employment
Based
on
the
working
agreement
between
the
Watertown
Board
of
Education
and
the
Local
1049
of
Council

AFSCME.
