Qualified Staffing is seeking a dependable, hands-on Assistant Cafeteria Manager to support daily operations in a fast-paced cafeteria environment in Forsyth, GA. This position is ideal for someone who has previous food service and management experience, enjoys working with people, and can take initiative in a busy kitchen. Prior kitchen or cafeteria supervisory/ management experience are preferred. Schedule: Monday-Friday 6AM-2PM (Full-time)Available Positions: 1Pay: $16 - $20/hour depending upon experience Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Kitchen Manager with the daily operation of the cafeteria
- Help supervise and support kitchen staff
- Assist with food preparation and meal service
- Prepare food according to standardized recipes and established procedures
- Help oversee meal production, serving line setup, food presentation, and food quality
- Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Assist with maintaining accurate food, equipment, and supply inventories
- Assist with kitchen staffing and work schedules as needed
- Operate and maintain food service equipment safely and properly
- Assist with required reports and other documentation
- Help ensure state and local health codes and food service requirements are followed
- Provide a positive and professional experience for students, staff, parents, and visitors
- Assume the Kitchen Manager’ s duties during temporary absences or as assigned
- Attend required meetings and trainings
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous food service experience required
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous supervisory, kitchen leadership, or food service management experience preferred
- Strong communication and supervisory skills
- Able to effectively work with and support a team
- Able to follow written and oral instructions
- Basic computer skills
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to take initiative
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint and criminal background check
