Paygrade 4 $32,926 - $45,739

Paygrade 5 $35,193 - $48,651

Paygrade 6 $36,982 - $51,064

Salary and pay grade based on school assignment and verified full time experience in field.

Hours

40 hours, 12 months, 260 days Monday-Friday 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Contract Unit: This position is part of the supervisory support services bargaining unit.

FLSA: Non-exempt

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of commercial cleaning experience with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience, preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively using the English language when deemed necessary.
• Ability to read labels, instructions, and regulations; ability to fill out forms, logs, and requisition forms; maintain records; and perform simple mathematics.
• Good work record to include attendance and job ratings.
• Knowledge and training in general custodial duties to include all aspects of cleaning and operation of custodial equipment.
• Skill in handling and using grounds and lawn care equipment.
• Ability to supervise other custodial personnel.
• Ability to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds; ability to climb ladders and work at various heights.
• Some knowledge in carpentry, electricity, heating/ventilating, and plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise night custodial shift.
• Distribute supplies to night custodial staff, keep inventory of all supplies and equipment.
• Secure building, including locking all windows and doors at the end of the shift.
• Assist Building Service Manager in maintenance and energy conservation procedures.
• Assume role of Building Service Manager in absence of same.
• Supervise substitute custodians, including orientation of building and work areas.
• Ensure absent custodian''s work area is cleaned.
• Maintain building and grounds as required.
