American Welding & Gas Inc. is seeking an energetic, self-motivated candidate to fill a Assistant Branch Manager position at our
Orlando, FL location.
The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of sales, including counter sales, warehousing, distribution, production with P&L responsibilities.
Assistant Branch Manager Duties:
- Assist with overseeing the production, safety and efficiency of the entire store.
- Managing store assets and maintaining expense controls.
- Supervising staff to ensure customer needs are met in a timely and efficient manner while providing excellent customer service.
- Assist the manager with opening and closing duties daily for the store.
- Maintain knowledge of all branch standard operating procedures and safety policies.
- Assist the Branch Manager in organizing and implementing all daily plant activities and strategies.
- Assist the Branch Manager in hiring, orientation, training, supervising, evaluating, motivating, and leading all employees in the plant.
- Work with the Branch manager to develop a safe culture within the branch and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Develop and provide safety training and ensure employees follow all company safety guidelines.
- Assist in enforcing safety rules and regulations in line with the state, federal, DOT, OSHA, and FDA policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Assist with day to day operations of the branch to ensure maximum profits with lowest possible investment while maintaining the highest level of safety.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma/ GED.
- 6 months to 1-year prior industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with hazardous materials preferred.
- Prior management experience a plus.
- Valid license and clean driving record.
- Strong judgement and management skills, as well as relationship building, responsibility, and team building.
- Business acumen, strong oral and written communication skills, customer oriented and solid decision-making skills.
