Junior Varsity & Varsity Assistant Boys Volleyball Coach

Reports to: Head Coach and Director of Athletics

School Description: Martin Luther High School is a 9 - 12th grade school system with approximately 675 students and growing. Job Summary: Martin Luther is currently looking to fill two positions within its Boys Volleyball program for the 2026 Fall Season. Head JV coach and Varsity Assistant Coach.

Responsibilities for the position include:

Display loyalty to the Head Coach and program.

• Supervise athletes and team assigned to him/her.
• Assist Head Coach for any special needs, i.e., awards night, parent meetings, etc.
• Make suggestions and recommendations that will help the program.
• Display sportsmanship towards opponents, officials, parents and team.
• Follow rules and regulations in Coaches' Handbook.
• Assist and/or plan and conduct daily practices for assigned team.
• Attend pre-season organizational meetings as assigned by Head coach.
• Understand the proper administrative line of command and refer all student and parent

requests or grievances through proper channels.

• Complete WIAA rules exam and video by the start of their respective season.

Qualifications:

• Have knowledge of and background in the sport of volleyball (prior coaching experience at the high school level, club coaching experience and college level playing experience is preferred).
• Continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• CPR/First Aid certified.
• Must be loyal to the total athletic and educational program of Martin Luther High School.
