    Job Overview & Essential Functions

    Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck Dealership and Leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for an Assistant Body Shop Manager. The role of the Assistant Body Shop Manager is to assist the Body Shop Manager in the day-to-day operations of the branch's Body Shop department in compliance with established policies and procedures. Plans, organizes, leads, and controls the activities of the Body Shop department to ensure the overall growth and profit objectives are met. Evaluates the department's results and performance against objectives. Maintains the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving the customer and identifying their needs.

    • Assists the Body Shop Manager in assessing present and future needs, trends, problems, and profit opportunities of the Body Shop department.
    • Ensures that approved policies and objectives are clearly understood and effectively communicated within the department.
    • Reviews and appraises the results of activities within the department and takes appropriate action as necessary.
    • Maintains appropriate communication within and between all departments within the branch.
    • Develops and maintains policies and practices, which will ensure positive customer relations.
    • Is familiar with the activities of competition, market conditions, and department operation; keeps the Body Shop Manager informed.
    • Provides daily supervision of Foremen and Estimator positions.
    • Works with the Body Shop Manager concerning customer complaints so they may be handled before the vehicle leaves the shop.
    • Monitors RO's on a daily basis and gives instruction as to the closing of repair orders.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    • Must have supervisory experience in a Body Shop or related field.
    • Must have a positive can-do attitude
    • Must have good leadership skills.
    • Must have good communication and customer service skills.
    • Must possess a strong work ethic and commitment.
    • Must be willing to relocate.
