Job Summary
Assists the Banquet Manager in planning, organizing, and overseeing banquet operations to ensure high-quality service and guest satisfaction. Coordinates with kitchen and service staff to execute events smoothly, manages staff schedules, and handles customer inquiries and complaints. Maintains inventory of banquet supplies and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations. Supports training and development of banquet staff and contributes to budgeting and cost control efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Must adhere to the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe's Policies and Procedure
- Assists in the oversight of the setup, execution and breakdown of all events according to the Banquet Event Order. Communicates with the Catering team in order to make the event a success.
- Ensures that all guests receive service according to established standards of quality.
- Conducts ongoing training programs for outlets personnel.
- Makes use of all available merchandising techniques.
- Adheres to established hotel policies, food & beverage policies, labor regulations, and liquor laws.
- Relays all guest compliments/complaints to banquet manager.
- Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
- Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Participates as a panel member on MPGE's board of review as needed.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of banquet/restaurant supervisory experience.
Qualifications

- Working during weekends, holidays and peak business periods is required, including working any shift/day designated by the Food and Beverage Department.
- Must possess a broad knowledge of culinary and beverage.

- Must be able to operate company computers, required programs, and equipment with accuracy and appropriate speed.
