Assistant Band Director/Itinerant Pool - High School-Double Reeds 2026-2027

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree;
• Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate or enrollment in an Alternative Certification Program or equivalent.

PREFERRED:

• Knowledge of State and UIL policies governing music education.

The Assistant Band Director/Itinerant - Double Reeds will teach ensemble classes, conduct a Concert Band and be held accountable for assigned instructional duties. The Assistant Band Director/Itinerant - Double Reeds will assist the Head Band Director with extra-curricular events including concerts, football games, pep rallies, parades, TMEA and UIL activities. The Assistant Band Director/Itinerant - Double Reeds will assist the Head Band Director with all paperwork as well as instructional duties as assigned to provide the best music education possible for the students of BISD.
