Assistant Band Director

Sal ary Schedule: Campus: Reports to: Assistant Band Director Lane C, Starting at $4,821-$7,889 Bloom/Bloom Trail High School Principal, Assistant Principal of Student Services Pr eferred Qualifications: Can didate must be a certified music teacher, preferably with experience in the direction of marching bands. Re sponsibilities:

1. Assist in Building and maintaining a successful band(s) Vanguard (Advanced Marching band/competition band) and marching band program.
2. Assist in teaching marching techniques, including but not limited to: marching, movement, drill and expression, phrasing and technique.
3. Assist in teaching music techniques including but not limited to: balance, blend, timing, intonation,expression, phrasing and technique.
4. Assist in holding and directing band camp in August to learn the music and field show for the upcoming season.
5. Assist in holding and directing after school rehearsals with the full band, sectionals, and/or small ensembles derived from the full band.
6. Attend and perform in the stands and on the field for the school's varsity football and basketball teams.
7. Assist in keeping accurate attendance records and assessments results.
8. Attend and perform at selected community and school parades and pep rallies.
9. Assistance at a Performance at some type of adjudicated marching band show or festival is required. 9/11/2026
