IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Principal and Head Band Director SELECTION: The position is filled by the Board of Education upon recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools. SALARY AND EMPLOYMENT: Per Harrison County Board of Education extra-curricular assignment schedule. Functions and Duties: 1. Assist band director in extra-curricular duties. 2. Assist band director in extra-curricular rehearsals 3. Assist head band director in preparing and presenting at least two concerts for parents and community to be held in the home-school environment. 4. Assist the band director in preparing the band for the annual performance appraisal. 5. Assist in preparing students for All County Band auditions. 6. Participates in invitational festivals, as determined by the principal. 7. Assist in any additional ensembles and attend related performances. 8. Maintain records, reports, and inventories as may be required and submits requested information by designated time. 9. Accepts advice and suggestions in a constructive manner. 10. Attends music in-services, workshops, conferences and meetings outside of school time during the academic year as required to meet obligations. 11. Assists in performances at traditional school musical functions as required by principal. 12. Observes all rules and regulations of the SSAC and observes all county policies. 13. Exercises due caution as to the safety of students. 14. Maintains good public relations with parent and community groups. 15. Participates and assumes fair share of responsibility for implementing All-County Band Festival. 16. Performs such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as the Superintendent or immediate superior may, from time to time, assign. Revised October 5, 2009
