Our Organization and Mission: The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Pay: $83,522.92 Annually
Position Summary: This position is in the Child Support Enforcement Bureau and involves managing a high-volume caseload representing the Florida Department of Revenue Child Support for the purpose of helping children get the financial support they need and deserve from their parents. Representation will involve legal actions such as establishing paternity and child support, enforcement, and/or other legal actions in a fair and efficient process in both Circuit Court and the Division of Administrative Hearings. Excellent organizational skills, time-management, and communication skills are key.
Qualifications: Admission to the Florida Bar and two years of professional experience in the practice of law, legal research, teaching law or in administrative or judicial hearings. The required legal experience must be from the practice of law in a state or territory of the United States.
Membership in good standing in another state Bar can substitute for the required admission to the Florida Bar provided that, pursuant to Rule 11-1.10 of the Rules Regulating the Florida Bar, the attorney applies for and obtains admission to the Florida Bar within 12 months of appointment to a position in this class.
The Work You Will Do: This positions duties include but not limited to the following: Attorneys must have knowledge of methods, techniques, and skills necessary for the performance of the job and demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently execute all assigned duties and tasks. Quality of work is accurate and thoroughly completed within established time frames and amount of work completed meets or exceeds expectations. Must be able to perform the duties of the position through the competent use of work methodologies, computer applications and software, office equipment, etc..
