About Special Prosecution
Come join the General and Special Prosecution team of the SC Attorney General's Office! Prosecutors get to travel throughout the state and handle a variety of cases; everything from drug cases to murders, hit and runs to human trafficking. You'll have the opportunity to work with various law enforcement agencies, different defense bars, and appear before judges across the state. On this team, you'll be able to grow your litigation skills and have the chance to work on impactful legislation. Check out some of the cases we've worked on recently!

Performs under limited supervision legal work for the State, its subdivisions, and officials. Primarily assigned to the General and Special Prosecution Unit of the Criminal Division, serving as an Assistant Attorney General.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
Juris Doctorate Degree with three to seven years of experience as a practicing attorney.
Necessary Requirements: Must be a member and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar. Must satisfy Rule 403 requirements
