Assistant Athletic Director, Business Operations

Position Function:
Provides financial management and operational oversight for the Department of Athletics. This position assists the Associate AD for Business Operations with daily operations of the Athletic Business Office (ABO), leads revenue accounting, supports budgeting and reporting, and oversees contract management. The role also includes advanced financial analytics, dashboard management, and process improvement efforts, including account code restructuring and private charter oversight.
Employees hired into Intermittent positions are limited to working no more than 720 hours per fiscal year.
Salary Grade: 15

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
oLead the restructuring of revenue accounting in collaboration with departmental leadership.
oAssist/support revised fund/org/account code structure and translate to Tableau dashboard.
oCreation of 5-7 year financial model.
Supervisory Responsibility
Supervise the Director of Business Operations and 1-2 Assistant Directors of Business Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, Sports Management, or related field with three (3) years of experience in collegiate athletics, professional sports, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Public Administration, or Sports Administration.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Five or more years of related experience.
Experience in EADA/NCAA reporting.
Demonstrates ability to explain, advocate, and express facts and ideas in a convincing manner.
Proven ability to demonstrate strong communication skills, both orally and written.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse group of constituents.
Strong critical-thinking skills and problem-solving skills.
