OhioHealth is seeking a dedicated Assistant/Associate Program Director to join our Family Medicine Residency at O’Bleness Hospital in Athens, OH. In this leadership role you’ll have the support and resources needed to grow professionally while helping shape the next generation of family medicine physicians.

Description:

  • Serve as a core faculty providing clinical, teaching, and administrative leadership for the residency program.
  • Full time position with flexibility for various FTE arrangements, including clinical commitment (resident precepting and patient pane management) and administrative responsibilities. Open to discussing alternative FTE amounts based on candidate interest and program needs.
  • The ideal candidate is board-certified in Family Medicine with a passion for resident education, mentorship, and leadership development.
  • Collaborative environment within the OhioHealth Graduate Medical Education network.
  • Strong partnership with Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, located less than one mile from the hospital.

Requirements:

  • BC/BE Family Medicine Physician
  • DO strongly preferred (MD considered with commitment to osteopathic culture)
  • Medical education leadership and strategy experience
  • Strong relationship-building, mentoring, and communication skills
  • Collaborative, visible, systems-oriented leadership style
