The Department of Urology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport is seeking a full-time BC/BE Urologist, Fellowship trained Urologic Oncology to expand its full-time clinical faculty. Primary responsibilities include patient care, resident education, and medical student education. Clinical duties and responsibilities rotate among our tertiary Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport Academic Medical Center and two affiliated teaching institutions. Several da Vinci surgical systems (including a dual-console unit) are available for patient care and resident training. The successful applicant will join several full-time faculty members in a fully accredited Urology Residency Training Program. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, in conjunction with Ochsner LSU Health St. Mary, is the only major academic medical center in the area and receives patients from a catchment area with a radius of approximately 75-100 miles which includes a population of approximately 1½ million people. Shreveport is an attractive, comfortable, small southern city with excellent schools, good restaurants, and multicultural opportunities. It is an excellent place to raise children.
