This is a full-time, 12-month faculty position teaching in the Undergraduate Nursing Program and the Graduate Nursing Program. Teaching may be face-to-face and/or online depending on course requirements. Faculty engage in teaching, research, and service according to requirements based on rank. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

This is a full-time, 12-month faculty position teaching in the Undergraduate Nursing Program and the Graduate Nursing Program. Candidates for this faculty position with expertise in Advanced Nursing Practice and Adult Health Nursing are encouraged to apply. Expertise as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Executive Nurse Administrator or Nurse Educator are invited to apply. Acute care or critical care expertise is preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in nursing at the time employment begins.
• Must have current clinical skills.
• Candidates must hold an unencumbered Multistate License or Alabama RN license.
• Nurse Practitioner applicants must hold current certification in one's role and population area of focus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant Doctorate degree (e.g. Ph.D., Ed.D., DNP) or doctorate degree conferred by date of hire.
• Teaching experience in a baccalaureate/graduate nursing program and certified in clinical specialty.
