The University of Lynchburg, a private, regional university in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Central Virginia, is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program starting at the beginning of the 2026-2027 academic year. Salary and rank will correspond to experience and educational credentials.
The DPT Program is part of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences with opportunities for interprofessional experiences with a variety of other health science programs. The program is housed in the Graduate Health Sciences Building with more than 37,000 square feet dedicated to physical therapy instruction, service, and research. The curriculum features an innovative model of instruction that prepares student physical therapists to become generalist practitioners who become leaders in the profession. Clinical practice is promoted among faculty and opportunities exist within the onsite free clinic. The Program received initial accreditation in 2013 and is scheduled for re-review in 2028.

Teaching Load: Full-time faculty members are expected to teach the equivalent of 12 credit hours per semester.
