Teaching four courses per semester, the successful candidate will help students take original narrative film projects from concept to completion in collaboration with one another while building the technical and professional skills required by the film industry and other industries focused on the creation and analysis of media content. Through a campus-wide culture of colleagues who are eager to work across disciplinary boundaries, the program maintains strong partnerships with Mass Communication and Sport Media, and the successful candidate will join colleagues in building new opportunities, integrating emerging technologies, and contributing to a vibrant culture of learning and success.

A hallmark of a York College education is our commitment to engage students in real-world experiences. In addition to these national awards, our students showcase their work at the Film and Media Arts annual Student Film event and participate in clubs such as the Film and Media Society and WVYC 88.1 FM: The York College Radio Station. Our graduates go on to successful careers across the film and media spectrum, from local news outlets and media companies to national outlets such as ESPN and Netflix.
