    Position Overview

    An established academic cardiovascular program in Huntington, West Virginia is seeking qualified Non-Invasive Cardiologists to join its growing team.

    This position combines comprehensive non-invasive cardiology care with academic teaching, trainee mentorship, and research opportunities. The program offers a collaborative environment with opportunities to work alongside specialists in cardiac imaging, structural heart disease, and advanced heart failure.

    Opportunity Highlights

    • Full-time academic Non-Invasive Cardiology position
    • Assistant or Associate Professor appointment
    • Hospital-employed position
    • Primary clinical site with rotation across two hospitals and satellite locations
    • Weekend rounds approximately every 6th weekend
    • Cardiology fellows participate in weekend rounds
    • No year-round call schedule
    • Teaching and mentoring of approximately 15 cardiology fellows
    • Formal and informal teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students
    • Multiple collaborative research opportunities

    • Collaboration with biomedical sciences programs

    Academic Responsibilities

    • Teach and mentor cardiology fellows
    • Participate in formal and informal education of residents and medical students
    • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to trainees
    • Participate in clinical and translational research
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary academic and biomedical programs

    Required Qualifications

    • MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree
    • Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Cardiology Fellowship
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
    • Echocardiography: Level 2 or Level 3 training
    • Nuclear Cardiology: Level 2 or Level 3 training
    • Full and unrestricted West Virginia medical license at the time of employment
    • Ability to perform all essential duties associated with the position

    Academic Appointment
