Florida State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Clinical Nutrition at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We seek scholars with strong research programs that complement the departments strengths in nutrition, metabolism, exercise physiology, food science, cardiovascular health, gut microbiome, skeletal muscle biology, immunity, and healthy aging. Candidates with expertise in clinical and translational nutrition are particularly encouraged to apply.
Areas of interest include precision nutrition, dietary patterns, bioactive compounds and nutrients, nutrition-related chronic disease, metabolism and metabolomics, nutritional physiology and pharmacology, cardiometabolic and gastrointestinal health, body composition, and eating/ingestive behavior. We welcome scholars whose research integrates nutrition with human physiology, biomedical sciences, behavior, physical activity, and/or clinical and translational research, and who can contribute to the expanding FSU Health research enterprise.
The successful candidate will have opportunities to collaborate with investigators and healthcare providers across FSU Health and affiliated clinical practices. The position offers access to state-of-the-art research facilities, interdisciplinary partnerships, and a dynamic academic environment committed to advancing nutrition, exercise physiology, food science, and health-related research. The roots of FSU's Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences date back to the university's establishment, and it is the oldest college of its kind in Florida. The College is home to six academic departments united through a common goal to maximize human potential. In total, the College includes the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies, Department of Educational Psychology & Learning Systems, Department of Human Development & Family Sciences, Department of Health, Nutrition & Food Sciences, Department of Sport Management, School of Teacher Education, numerous research centers, and three laboratory schools (Florida State University School, FSU Pembroke Pines Charter School, and The Collegiate School at FSU Panama City). Anne's College serves over 4,000 students via approximately 200 full-time faculty and nearly 80 full-time staff.
