Assistant/Associate Professor, Emergency Management and Public Administration
The Department of Emergency Management and Public Administration of the Jacksonville State University's College of Social & Behavioral Sciences is seeking to hire a scholar for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor.
In addition to teaching, successful candidates are expected to develop externally sponsored scholarly research programs and supervise doctoral students in the program. The faculty hired may have option to work remotely.
Duties and Responsibilities
Doctoral level courses:
EM 8032 Hazards Risk Management and Community Resilience
EM 8673 Health Care Systems in Disaster
Graduate level courses:
EM 5730 Research Methods in Emergency Management
Job Requirements
Requires a Ph.D. in Emergency Management or relevant disciplines. Must have experience in: college/university level teaching; teaching online courses using Canvas as the Learning Management Platform; involvement in research and grant-writing experience; and scholarly activities such as publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
