Position Summary

The University of Central Arkansas Assistant or Associate Professor is responsible for teaching, research and service. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. The position is tenure track and a nine-month appointment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses and provide engaging experiential learning opportunities in both clinical and academic settings; develop and sustain an active research agenda, including the pursuit of extramural funding; and participate in university governance, curriculum development, and service activities that support the growth and mission of the department and institution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at the University of Central Arkansas invites applicants for a 9-month, full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate professor rank. Expertise in all areas of speech-language pathology will be considered.

Required Education and/or Experience

Applicants must possess a doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Communication Disorders or a closely related field. Exceptional applicants who are ABD (all but dissertation) or who hold a clinical doctorate will be considered.

Preferred Education and/or Experience

Expertise in all areas of speech-language pathology expertise will be considered.

License(s)/Certifications (Required or Preferred)

Required - Arkansas licensure (or eligibility for licensure in Arkansas)

Preferred - CCC-SLP

Preferred - ASHA certification
