Position Overview
Marquette University Law School invites applications to join our faculty. This clinical position will be part of the Law and Entrepreneurship Clinic (LEC), a transactional legal clinic that provides pro bono legal services to entrepreneurs, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations in southeastern Wisconsin, with a focus on clients who cannot afford counsel. The position will help expand the scope of the LEC to include a focus on real estate transactions. The position will educate and supervise students in such work. The position will also teach other courses and provide additional educational activities in the area of real estate and related areas. This position will serve as a point of contact for the Law School with the Vieth Institute for Real Estate Leadership (VIREL) and work to integrate law students in the LEC with the Vieth Institutes initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Work to expand the scope of the LEC to include real estate transactions • Supervise and educate students in the LEC in the context of real estate services • Teach law school courses in the area of real estate and educate law students generally about real estate practices • Serve as a liaison to Vieth Institute for Real Estate Leadership and integrate the work of the Law School with the Vieth Institutes initiatives
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and experience in the area of real estate transactions for three or more years. Must demonstrate potential for teaching excellence. A Wisconsin law license or eligibility to be licensed in the state is required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Five or more years of real estate transactional experience is strongly preferred.
