    Assistant Asset Manager – LIHTC / Affordable Housing


    The Assistant Asset Manager provides high-level administrative, analytical, and coordination support to the Director in overseeing a portfolio of affordable multifamily housing properties. This role will assist with property performance tracking, reporting, compliance and financial information, lender and investor communications, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working with financial and property-level information.


    Responsibilities:


    • Support the day-to-day oversight and administration of the multifamily portfolio.
    • Collect, organize, and track property-level financial, operational, occupancy, and compliance information.
    • Prepare and maintain reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and asset management files.
    • Assist with monthly and quarterly property performance reporting and analysis.
    • Track key property milestones, budgets, capital projects, leases, occupancy, compliance requirements, and other asset-level initiatives.
    • Coordinate information requests from lenders, equity partners, property managers, state agencies, and other third parties.
    • Assist with preparation of materials for lender, investor, and ownership meetings.
    • Maintain accurate records of property documents, contracts, reports, and correspondence.
    • Monitor deadlines and follow up with property management and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of action items.
    • Assist with due diligence and reporting related to acquisitions, refinancings, dispositions, and other asset-level transactions.
    • Support the Director with special projects, research, and analysis as needed.
    • Perform other administrative and analytical duties in support of the Asset Management team.


    Qualifications:


    • 2+ years of experience in real estate, property management, asset management, accounting, finance, or a related field.
    • LIHTC experience is required.
    • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work professionally with property managers, lenders, investors, government agencies, and other external partners.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on assignments.
