Assistant Area Security Manager

• Provides effective and professional security services for Church properties and facilities
• This is a senior professional position that includes oversight, mentoring, and evaluation of security personnel.
• Under the direction of the Area Security Manager, the incumbent develops and implements security plans and emergency action plans for the Asia North Area, including protection plans for visiting General Authorities.

• Job type: Full-time
• Location: Tokyo, Seoul, Ulaanbaatar or Guam (you will be based at the office where you already hold work authorization)
• Salary: Based on Church policies and procedures

• Must be endowed and hold a current temple recommend (Mandatory)
• Bachelor''s Degree
• Preferred 4+ years of directly related industry or Church workforce experience.
• Working knowledge and skills within a specific security related discipline and Church administrative practices and principles
• Functional knowledge of technical security systems or aptitude to learn these skills
• Able to act with minimal oversight on routine matters and strong communication skills
• Written and spoken fluency in English is required
• Physically able to respond to unexpected incidents and travel as required, while remaining composed and exercising sound judgment in emergencies
• Driver''s license and good driving skills.

• Coordinating with the Church Security Department (CSD) to provide independent analysis of geopolitical risks and implications of Church operations in the region

• Coordinating with Church Security Department to provide localized security-related guidance, training and support at all levels of Church leadership

• Networking and leveraging relationships to include law enforcement entities, embassy personnel, NGO and other security industry counterparts across an assigned geographical area, to deliver appropriate assistance to Church leaders, departments and members

• Leading projects through application of knowledge on security job-related areas.

• Coordinating with the Church Security Department (CSD) to provide independent analysis of geopolitical risks and implications of Church operations in the region

• Coordinating with Church Security Department to provide localized security-related guidance, training and support at all levels of Church leadership
