Purpose and Scope:
This position supports the Division of Optional Schools and Advanced Academics to facilitate the expansion of early postsecondary opportunities (EPSO) such as; Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, Dual Enrollment and state dual credit classes; to all high school students. Performs clerical duties and assists management with administrative support.
Essential Job Functions:
- Compiles and maintains a variety of reports and records, provides general clerical support, prepares basic correspondence, orders supplies, and covers telephones for programs and projects in the Division of Optional Schools and Advanced Academics.
- Conducts research, prepares various reports including verifying student and course rosters, tracking student enrollment, confirming submission of required compliance documents and completing textbook inventory.
- Compiles and updates databases/spreadsheets for Early Postsecondary Opportunity (EPSO) programs for course requests by school, required training completed by teachers, TSAC grant completion by students and required program paperwork submitted by coordinators, etc.
- Communicates information to prospective families regarding transfer/enrollment processes for optional schools and EPSO programs within the division.
- Seeks assistance from higher level personnel or management when departmental issues or problems occur including student program enrollment and teacher professional development scheduling.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent plus three (3) years secretarial/clerical and computer experience or equivalent, for a total education/experience of three (3) years. Certification in Microsoft Office and/or Administrative Professional (CAP) preferred. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED)
Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
