Assistant Accounting Manager

Top-tier international law firm in Los Angeles seeks a highly proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accounting Manager with exceptional leadership and analytical skills along with the ability to work independently and to exercise sound judgment. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for a wide range of key accounting functions including but not limited to month and year-end close processes, fixed asset processes, domestic and international tax returns and related research and reporting, financial data analysis, reporting, complex and non-routine transactions, general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, audits, treasury support, and resolution of issues. This role will supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff as well as provide expertise regarding the firm’s accounting systems. The Assistant Manager will develop accounting policies and procedures and implement process improvements. Qualified candidates will have a college degree in accounting, finance or related area of study along with 5 to 6 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role at a large law firm or professional services company. Proficiency with Sage, large firm accounting platforms, and advanced Excel is desired. Salary range is $110–130k, depending on experience, qualifications and skills.
