    Job Summary:The Assistant Accountant will perform a variety of accounting tasks with a focus on accounts payable and merchant processing.

    Principle Responsibilities:

    ·         Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.

    ·         Oversees the full-cycle accounts payable process, including vendor payments, invoice management, discrepancy resolution, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

    ·         Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.

    ·         Responsible for monitoring, disputing, and resolving chargebacks to recover revenue and minimize financial losses.

    ·         Supports internal and external financial audits by providing accurate records, documentation, reconciliations, and timely resolution of any audit inquiries.

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    ·         Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.

    ·         Service oriented and ability to collaborate with a team.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software; strong knowledge of Excel.
    • Ability to learn and work within various software; knowledge of NetSuite/enterprise software and Salesforce CRM preferred.

     

    Work Experience: 

    ·         1-2 year’s experience in accounting/finance or commensurate combination of education and experience.

    Training and Education: 

    ·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or commensurate experience.
