The Assessment Support Specialist plays a vital role in this mission by assisting district schools in incorporating a student-centered system of data-driven instruction and intervention. This position focuses on closing the achievement gap in reading by continuously training and supporting site staff in the effective use of assessment and progress monitoring, ensuring every student has the opportunity to master grade-level standards and curriculum over time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assessment Software Training & Capacity Building
Performance Objective and Success Standards: Deliver comprehensive training to diverse staff groups to ensure technical proficiency and self-sufficiency in utilizing district assessment platforms.
Benchmark & Survey Level Assessment (SLA) Facilitation
Performance Objective and Success Standards: Guide the standardized implementation of Benchmark testing and Survey Level Assessments to ensure data integrity and instructional relevance.
Progress Monitoring & Caseload Management
Performance Objective and Success Standards: Maintain rigorous oversight of student progress monitoring data, ensuring intervention accuracy and timely system updates.
Data-Driven Goal Setting & Instructional Support
Performance Objective and Success Standards: Partner with educators to translate assessment data into actionable student goals and clear performance expectations.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Site Communication
Performance Objective and Success Standards: Foster a collaborative environment through active participation in school-wide planning and proactive communication with multi-disciplinary teams.
