Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented ASD Door Builder / Assembly Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Broken Arrow. This position is responsible for building specialized ASD (Shielded) Doors from blank door cores using blueprints, hand tools, power tools, and air tools while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys hands-on work, and can work independently while producing precision-built products.
Required Experience & Skills
Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16-inch increments
Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and air tools
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong communication skills
Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Fabricate ASD (Shielded) Doors from blank door cores according to specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, including special-order drawings
Measure, cut, assemble, and install door components accurately
Join completed doors to frames and perform final assembly
Build shipping skids and crate finished products for shipment
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, air tools, and sit-down forklifts
Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Participate in facility housekeeping and shared cleaning responsibilities
Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D blueprints
Previous manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or woodworking experience
Sit-down forklift experience preferred
Mechanical aptitude and experience working with precision measurements
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and repetitive movements throughout the shift
Routine lifting of materials up to 50 lbs
Occasional lifting of materials up to 100 lbs
Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing facility
PPE provided by the employer (employees must provide their own steel-toed boots)
