Job Title: Assembly & Test Technician

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are hiring on behalf of one of our top manufacturing clients. As an Assembly & Test Technician Level II, you will be primarily responsible for performing assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of pump and compressor units and their respective auxiliary systems. This role includes test stand equipment setup, maintenance, and data collection across mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic test protocols, as well as supporting laser cutter/etcher operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive project assignments and establish a clear understanding of project scopes, schedule parameters, assembly, and quality testing operations.

  • Perform setup, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of pumps, compressors, gas seals, hydraulic systems, sensors, and data-collection systems.

  • Collaborate with project teams to support product specification development and validation testing.

  • Support the setup, operation, and preventive maintenance (TPM) of laser cutter/etcher machinery.

  • Assist in determining material quantities and specifications for active project testing.

  • Maintain 5S standards across the test lab area, facilitating monthly reviews and driving continuous workplace safety and cleanliness.

  • Work with supervisors to execute and complete scheduled testing protocols on time.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education & Experience: High School Diploma or technical equivalent, combined with demonstrated mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or shop floor environment.

  • Hands-on Skills: Proficiency using manual/power hand tools, shop floor equipment, and standard troubleshooting methodologies.

  • Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of pumps, compressors, pneumatic systems, and mechanical diagnostics.

  • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with LabVIEW interfaces, laser cutters, 3D printers, or basic sensor electronics (DAQ systems, Digital/Analog I/O). Welding experience is a plus.

  • Mindset: Strong commitment to workplace safety, continuous improvement, and team collaboration.
