Assembly Technician

BlueWave is hiring an Assembly Technician for an aerospace organization based in Long Beach, California. As an Assembly Technician, you will fabricate modular assemblies through a repetitive, high-throughput production process. This role requires close attention to detail, consistent quality, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate benchtop cutting equipment to prepare production components.
• Manually cut and prepare flexible assembly materials.
• Lay out components accurately within fixtures.
• Apply adhesives and load assemblies into laminating equipment.
• Perform basic wire soldering for designated assignments.
• Produce assemblies efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and production personnel in an onsite manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, or machine operation.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and perform repetitive production work.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality.
• Basic soldering experience is preferred but not required.
• Manual machining or quality control experience is preferred.
• Prior experience building solar arrays and related certifications are not required.

Employment Type

Contract in Long Beach, California. The position is expected to continue through the end of the year. This is an onsite role working five eight-hour shifts per week.
