Description


The Panther Group is hiring an Assembly Technician for a client in the Franklin, MA area.

The Assembly Technician will perform electrical and mechanical assembly, fabrication, testing, and inspection of complex assemblies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work from engineering drawings and detailed work instructions.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble, fabricate, test, and inspect electrical and mechanical assemblies.
  • Read and follow assembly drawings, blueprints, schematics, bills of materials, and work instructions.
  • Install and assemble electrical and mechanical components.
  • Use hand tools, torque tools, measuring instruments, soldering equipment, and other assembly tools.
  • Perform hand soldering as required.
  • Complete assembly and manufacturing tasks according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Inspect completed work to verify it meets specifications.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Keep workstations, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
  • Work with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet production schedules.
  • Follow company safety procedures and manufacturing requirements.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience involving electrical and/or mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Experience using hand tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform basic shop-floor math.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet production schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with hand soldering.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or J-STD-001 standards.
  • Experience assembling complex electro-mechanical products.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment and follow applicable safety procedures.

Pay: $25–$28 per hour, W2, depending on experience.
