    Description

    HiFyve is hiring an Assembly Supervisor in the manufacturing industry.

    Salary: $50,000–$60,000/year

    Shift: 1st

    Location: St. Louis, MO 

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of setup and sample personnel involved in assembly line setup and operation.
    • Set up assembly lines according to established procedures, specifications, and customer requirements.
    • Identify and resolve issues related to assembly procedures, specifications, equipment, and production processes.
    • Coordinate with the Production Scheduler to ensure the appropriate equipment and supplies are available for all assembly jobs and work orders.
    • Provide guidance, training, and support to setup, sample, and operator personnel on proper assembly machine setup, operation, and required maintenance.
    • Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and address performance issues to ensure compliance with company work rules.
    • Ensure adherence to company safety regulations, policies, and protocols.
    • Review assembly documentation, including work orders, blueprints, BOMs/Routers, and setup/operator instructions, to ensure assembly specifications and customer requirements are met.
    • Monitor assembly operations to ensure compliance with quality control standards.
    • Work with production planners, engineers, and other departments to improve and optimize assembly processes.
    • Maintain accurate records of assembly line setups and production activities.
    • Ensure assembly lines and equipment are operating efficiently, safely, and according to established procedures.

    Education Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Technical degree preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of assembly processes, equipment operation, and maintenance procedures.
    • Ability to identify and resolve technical issues with machinery and assembly equipment.
    • Understanding of safety protocols and regulations in an assembly manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with team members, other departments, and management.
    • Ability to motivate, guide, train, and develop setup, sample, and operator personnel.
    • Leadership and team-management skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Basic computer skills, including use of email, production data software, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
    • Ability to read and understand work orders, blueprints, bills of materials, routers, and assembly instructions.
    • Organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple production priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
