Manufacturing Assembly Supervisor
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Manufacturing Assembly Supervisor to lead and oversee a team of assemblers in the production of structural component frames for data centers and modular construction projects.The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry, mechanical assembly, and manufacturing leadership, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring production goals are achieved while maintaining the highest standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.The Manufacturing Supervisor will provide daily direction to production teams, support workforce development, and collaborate closely with operations, quality, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Leadership
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of manufacturing and assembly personnel.
  • Assign work tasks, monitor progress, and ensure production schedules and delivery timelines are met.
  • Lead daily production meetings and communicate priorities, goals, and expectations to team members.
  • Provide hands-on support with assembly activities when needed to support production objectives.
  • Monitor labor productivity and workflow efficiency to maximize operational performance.
Assembly & Technical Oversight
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Ensure team compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly procedures.
  • Develop and maintain assembly station work instructions and standardized work processes.
  • Troubleshoot production challenges and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve issues.
Training & Employee Development
  • Train and mentor employees on:
  • Assembly techniques
  • Tool usage
  • Safety procedures
  • Quality standards
  • Manufacturing best practices
  • Support onboarding and training of new employees.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management to team members.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
Quality Management
  • Inspect work performed by team members to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control processes.
  • Collaborate with Quality teams to address deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote a culture of quality and workmanship excellence throughout the facility.
Safety & Compliance
  • Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly used, maintained, and stored.
  • Conduct safety observations and participate in continuous safety improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with OSHA requirements.
Continuous Improvement
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and reduce waste.
  • Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and operational best practices.
Qualifications & SkillsRequired Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing, assembly, construction, or industrial leadership role such as Supervisor, Foreman, Team Lead, or Production Lead.
  • Strong background in mechanical assembly, carpentry, or structural fabrication.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret:
  • Blueprints
  • Schematics
  • Assembly drawings
  • Manufacturing specifications
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.
  • Experience using technology such as tablets, laptops, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials as required throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience supervising production teams in manufacturing or modular construction environments.
  • Knowledge of quality control systems and manufacturing best practices.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • OSHA certifications or other workplace safety certifications preferred.
Work Environment
  • Hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working with tools and materials throughout the workday.
  • Requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety protocols.
  • Exposure to manufacturing equipment, machinery, and production environments.
