Description

Pro Resources is seeking a 1st Shift Assembly Supervisor for a client in Knox, IN. The Assembly Supervisor will oversee daily operations within the finishing production areas. This position will supervise approximately 20–30 employees across three departments: Paint, Sanding, and Chair Assembly. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on with previous experience in manufacturing finishing, including painting. This individual must be able to manage production flow and maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. Apply Today!

Shift and Compensation
  • 1st Shift Monday-Thursday 7-3:30 PM Friday 5-1:30 PM
  • Compensation is dependent on experience
Job Duties
  • Supervise employees in the Paint Department, Sanding Department, and Chair Assembly Department
  • Communicate effectively with both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking employees
  • Assign daily work tasks and ensure production goals are met
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, and quality standards throughout each department
  • Mix paints and perform color matching as needed
  • Ensure finishing, painting, sanding, and assembly work meets company quality standards
  • Train, coach, and support employees to ensure proper procedures are followed
  • Help identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure employees are following company policies, safety procedures, and quality expectations
  • Communicate with management regarding staffing needs, production concerns, and department performance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Assist with employee performance feedback and disciplinary matters when needed
Background Profile
  • Previous experience in manufacturing finishing, including painting, required
  • Experience mixing paints and color matching required
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in furniture manufacturing, sanding, assembly, or a related production environment preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to supervise and motivate a team of 20–30 employees
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to lead by example
