Assembly Operator

Start your new career as an Assembler Operator with MAU in Monroe, GA. As an Assembler Operator, you will assemble and inspect products, operate manufacturing equipment, perform product changeovers, and follow established safety and quality procedures to support efficient production.

What We Offer:

• Pay of $17.45 per hour
• Third-shift pay of $18.95 per hour, including shift differential
• First Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:30 AM-4:00 PM, with overtime as needed
• Third Shift: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 PM-5:30 AM, with overtime as needed
• 10-hour shifts
• PPE provided

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience
• Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred, particularly with electronic/mechanical equipment assembly or high-speed equipment operation
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment to achieve production goals, including cycle time, Takt time, and scrap-rate targets
• Reading and writing skills sufficient to follow work instructions and prepare simple production reports
• Basic math skills
• Manual dexterity to operate machinery properly
• Visual acuity, with correction if needed, to read instructions, operate machinery, and visually inspect products
• Ability to frequently stoop and bend
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to meet pre-employment assessment requirements

What You'll Do as an Assembler Operator:

• Follow operator instruction sheets and verbal instructions to perform assigned production operations
• Check product and component dimensions using indicators, gauges, and other specified measuring tools
• Visually and manually inspect products for defects and workmanship issues
• Change simple parts and fixtures to support product changeovers
• Enter production data as needed to maintain charts and reports supporting manufacturing, engineering, quality, material control, and sales
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area using 5S practices
• Follow work instructions, procedures, and applicable quality and environmental standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Communicate machine issues and equipment failures to support staff and coworkers
• Follow required plant safety practices and wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toe shoes where required
