    The Assembly Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, building, programming, and supporting the automated assembly systems that produce Hydro-Gear products. In this role, you will support assembly operations through process improvement, equipment optimization, tooling and fixture design, automation projects, and troubleshooting efforts that improve safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability.

    Job Type: Full-time located in Princeton, KY

    Salary: Commensurate with experience + biannual bonus

    Core Responsibilities of our Manufacturing Engineer Assembly:

    • Conduct continuous improvement opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability of assembly processes
    • Design, build, and implement assembly tooling, fixtures, and error-proofing solutions
    • Troubleshoot and support automated assembly equipment, PLC-controlled systems, and production machinery
    • Develop and maintain assembly process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
    • Analyze production data and identify opportunities to reduce downtime, improve throughput, and eliminate waste
    • Support new product launches and equipment installations within assembly operations
    • Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to resolve process and equipment issues
    • Manage assembly equipment modifications, upgrades, and validation activities
    • Assist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for assembly-related concerns
    • Support projects related to assembly automation and process improvements

    • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Engineering or Technology from a four-year college or university preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
    • Experience supporting manufacturing or assembly operations in a production environment
    • Knowledge of mechanical assembly processes, tooling, fixtures, and automated equipment
    • Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems and automated machinery preferred
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
    • Experience with AutoCAD, or similar design software preferred
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments
