Assembly Machine Operator

Our client, Manufacturing is seeking a Assembly Machine Operator to join their team. As a Assembly Machine Operator, you will be part of the Production team supporting daily finishing, inspection, and secondary production tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to follow work instructions and measurements which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Assembly Machine Operator

Location: Sauk Valley Area

Pay Range: $17

Shift: 5:45am - 3:45pm

What's the Job?

• Clean and finish tanks and components according to company standards, removing excess material using hand and power tools such as grinders, sanders, and buffers.
• Smooth, polish, and finish products to meet quality specifications, applying coatings, sealants, and other finishing touches as required.
• Perform visual inspections to identify defects, imperfections, or inconsistencies and ensure finished products meet customer and company quality standards.
• Report quality concerns and accurately document production information.
• Operate finishing equipment and specialized production tools safely, completing secondary tasks such as drilling, trimming, grinding, taping, and assembly while following established work instructions.

What's Needed?

• Skilled labor or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to read measurements and follow work instructions.
• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
