    Position Overview: The purpose of this position is to assemble and laser mark production and/or prototype devices/articles, customer products (instruments and/or implants) using hand tools; ensuring customer requirements are met while meeting the requirements of the Marle’s quality policy and quality objectives.
     
    Essential Job Functions:
    1. Assemble devices/articles/customer products (instruments and/or implants) according to the customer’s drawing specifications and EM specifications.
    2. Laser mark devices/articles/ customer products (instruments and/or implants) according to the customer’s drawing specifications and EM specifications.
    3. Inspect, measure and test manufactured product.
    4. Determine whether product conforms to product specifications.
    5. Prevent damage, through carelessness, to the equipment or process used in the performance of the job.
    6. Follow quality management system procedures.
    7. Follow Marle’s safety and environmental procedures.
    8. Follow written and verbal directions from supervisor/manager/company officials.
    9. Work with all departments to provide assistance as necessary.
    10. Perform non-routine tasks assigned.
     
    Qualification Requirements:
    1. High school education with a trade course certification from a college or a technical school preferred;
    2. 3+ years of work experience in assembly or laser marking of medical devices;
    3. equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
     
    Skills/Other Abilities:
    Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, whole numbers and fractions in English and Metric System.  Ability to use handheld calculator. Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Physical Skills: Ability to use standard measuring and testing devices such as, but not limited to: calipers, micrometer, height gage, pin gage, radius gage, optical comparator, depth micrometer, etc. Ability to use hand tools such as, but not limited to wrenches, screwdriver, Allen wrench, etc.
     
    Trade Knowledge: Ability to read complicated drawings and specifications. Other Skills & Abilities: Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Mastercam or SolidWorks. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
