Summary:
The Assembler is responsible for assembling and testing products, and for troubleshooting and resolving issues. * Assemble components of all Product Lines. Select correct tools and fixtures. * Test assembled products. Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the assembly and testing of products. * Ensure ability to: read blueprints; identify components; use pertinent hand tools and rework techniques; operate equipment, dimensioning and setting tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies. * Create labor records for all transactions. * Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.


Bellows Welder Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Setup new production work areas, including layouts, tooling and equipment setup, etc.
• Assist with transition from development to production, including first articles
• Manufacture, assemble, and test mechanical, fluid and electrical measurement equipment assemblies according to written procedures and engineering models, drawings, specifications and written procedures
• Perform precision seam welding work for long periods of time seated at machine
• Interface with production leads, supervisors, manager and QA inspection to ensure timely customer delivery
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct discrepancies by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control
• Setup and operate precision calibrated tools including but limited to, weld controllers, gauges, etc.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency
• Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 6S and Lean initiatives
• Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to achieving organizational success

Qualifications :

• High School diploma or GED
• 3-5 years direct experience in industrial manufacturing, integration, or other relevant field
• Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities
• Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures
• Basic mathematics skills such as calculating spring rates
• Hand dexterity required to assemble small mechanical or electrical components
• Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work in small restricted areas
• Perform repetitive work including lifting of heavy items up to 44 lbs.
• Work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends if/when necessary
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired

• Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field
• Experienced in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment
• Experience with resistance seam welding, precision TIG welding, spot welding machines
• Experience reading WPS (weld procedure specification) and PQR (performance qualification record)
• Experience with helium leak verification of welds

• M-F, 05:00 13:30 with overtime and weekend hours as needed
